Tour ITINERARY

Day 1

Arrival At Baku - Panoramic Tour

  • Arrival to Baku. Meeting at airport and transfer to hotel and check-in.
  • Excursion to Baku Boulevard. Its history goes back more than 100 years, to a time when Baku oil barons built their mansions along the Caspian shore and when the seafront was artificially built up inch by inch. The park stretches along a south-facing bay on the Caspian Sea. The square has often been the scene of public meetings, cultural gatherings, celebrations, ceremonies, parades, concerts and has lately become the venue for the city's extensive New Year celebrations.
  • Dinner in Indian restaurant
  • Overnight in the hotel
Day 2

Absheron Peninsula. Ateshgah And Yanardag

  • Yanar Dag (Azerbaijani: Yanar Dağ, meaning "burning mountain") is a natural gas fire which blazes continuously on a hillside on the Absheron Peninsula on the Caspian Sea near Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan (a country which itself is known as "the Land of Fire"). Flames jet into the air 3 metres (9.8 ft) from a thin, porous sandstone layer. Administratively, Yanar Dag belongs to Absheron District of Azerbaijan.
  • The Baku Ateshgah often called the "Fire Temple of Baku" is a castle-like religious temple in Surakhani town (in Suraxanı raion). Based on Persian and Indian inscriptions, the temple was used as a Hindu, Sikh, and Zoroastrian place of worship. The pentagonal complex, which has a courtyard surrounded by cells for monks and a tetrapillar-altar in the middle, was built during the 17th and 18th centuries. It was abandoned in the late 19th century, probably due to the dwindling of the Indian population in the area. The natural "eternal flame" went out in 1969, after nearly a century of exploitation of petroleum and gas in the area, but is now lit by gas piped from the nearby city.
  • Walking Tour, with entrance to the Old city - Icheri Sheher, as known as Inner city. It is the historical core of Baku. It is widely accepted that the Old City, including its Maiden Tower date at least to the 12th century, with some researchers contending that construction dates as far back as the 7th century. During this medieval period of Baku, such monuments as the Maiden Tower the Palace of the Shirvanshahs (15th–16th centuries), the Bukhara Caravanserai and Gasimbey bathhouse (16th century) were built.

Day 3

Excursion To Gobustan - Heydar Aliyev Center

  • This day is dedicated to the tour of the Gobustan. Gobustan is an open-air museum with cave paintings Neolithic. Located just 65 km south of Baku, Gobustan has more than 4000 rock carvings that were made more than 12,000 years ago. You can see a large number of drawings on the rocks made in the Stone Age, which reflect the everyday life of people, especially well reflected their hunting period. Well protected paintings reflect the life of the ancient people of their travel on reed boats, the men who hunt antelope and wild bulls, dancing women. Famous Norwegian antropologist Thor Heyerdahl visited Azerbaijan many times since 1961 and until the year of his death in 2002, to explore the attractions through which in prehistoric times Scandinavians migrated. And as he found similarities between the drawings Scandinavia and ours.
  • Post lunch we go for excursion with entrance to Heydar ALiyev Centre and mini Azerbaijan museum. Excursion to Heydar Aliyev Center is a 57,500 m2 (619,000 sq ft) building complex in Baku, Azerbaijan designed by Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid and noted for its distinctive architecture and flowing, curved style that eschews sharp angles. The center is named for Heydar Aliyev, the leader of Soviet-era Azerbaijan from 1969 to 1982, and president of Azerbaijan from October 1993 to October 2003. The project is intended to play an integral role in the intellectual life of the city. Located close to the city center, the site plays a pivotal role in the redevelopment of Baku. An internationally recognized architectural work, the building of the Heydar Aliyev Center has become a signature landmark of modern Baku due to its innovative and cutting-edge design.
