Albania, on Southeastern Europe’s Balkan Peninsula, is a small country with Adriatic and Ionian coastlines and an interior crossed by the Albanian Alps. The country has many castles and archaeological sites. Capital Tirana centers on sprawling Skanderbeg Square, site of the National History Museum, with exhibits spanning antiquity to post-communism, and frescoed Et’hem Bey Mosque.

Tourist Visa

  • One passport sized photo 5cm by 4cm, no older than six months from the date of application in the following format only (JPEG, JPG, PNG).
  • Photocopy of a valid travel document, (valid for at least three months more than the period of validity of the requested visa).
  • Travel health insurance documents for the duration of the visa.
  • Document of round-trip ticket booking.
  • Hotel booking or documents for accommodation during their stay.
  • Documents that prove that they have sufficient funds during their stay and return to their country of origin.
  • A document confirming the existence of a stable employment contract in the country of origin/residence. In the absence of this employment contract, the foreigner must prove that there are indications to return to his country of origin/residence.
  • For children under 18 years: A statement expressing the consent of a parent or legal guardian of the child for the trip, or the person responsible.

Business Visa

  • Letter of invitation signed by the host, along with a copy of their identity document (when the host is a foreign national it is a requirement that they also submit a photocopy of their residence permit issued by the competent Albanian Authority).
  • Document that prove their professional, commercial and business activity.
  • Documents that prove the legal status of their commercial entity.
  • Photocopy of certificate of registration in accordance with the purpose of the visa issued (visas for 60-90 days) according to article 73 of Law 108/2013 “For foreigners.

All submitted documents must be current and complete (in English). The incomplete documents submitted for the visa application may cause the application to be rejected. The Consulate General has the right to request additional documents when it deems necessary. Presenting of the above documents does not guarantee that the visa will be granted. The Consulate General reserves the right to refuse application without any explanation. There is no refund possibility in any circumstances.
